OK, to keep the chickens off of our (their) galvanized poultry font, my chickspouse sprayed them with (the fonts) cooking spray (Pam). They were frightened, because they know the last time they encounter that spray will be in the frying pan....

Get waterers with slanted tops and then they can't roost on them.

I think I'd be frightened if I was sprayed with oil, too. That can't be good for their respiratory system.

I assume to make them slippery.

English is not everybody's first language. I thought it was funny. Did spraying the top of the waterers help keep the chickens off of them? Maybe a garlic and onion would help. I love garlic and onion in my chicken soup....

Edit: changed farlic to garlic. Old fingers can't type.

I use buckets as waterers, the chickens don't roost on them because they'll fall in. I stopped using regular chicken waterers when I realized a bucket from the dollar store lasts longer.
