"We can shorten it if we run or trot.'' Brick replied.

"I feel we should attack during the day, she won't expect us then."

Brick nodded. "I will take control once more.."

"We, brother, will take control,'" Cinder snapped.

Eis listened carefully he wondered who they were talking about.

Chloe stopped. "Sunshine, there are things you should know."

Chloe sighed. "A long time ago, back when your mother and father were calves, there was a pack of dogs that claimed part of the forest as their own. They where a peaceful group and treated the other animals fairly until something bad happened. The alpha of the pack went mad with power and enslaved some of the animals, no one could stop them because they was too many to fight. This went on for years until the alpha's son, who had taken over, died." Chloe looked at Sunshine, "are ya with me so far?"

Chloe continued. "Well, the dogs stayed until an elephant came and drove them out. The dogs' pack was already falling apart because of the loss of their alpha and they had no choice but to leave. The elephant stayed in their home and soon married your mother. The dogs pack died out except for the alphas two pups, Brick and Cinder. They vowed revenge on the elephant and his family. Those pups are now grown and it is near time for them to come and take back their home. That's why you can't be with your mother. If you stay there, you are at risk and they dogs will kill you with out a care. The dogs are stronger and smarter now and your mother knows you will die if you stay. Sadly, I can't promise you that you will see your mother again.." Chloe drifted off.
