Now don't laugh super cold weather states, but So Cal has been having unusually cold and wet weather, (love it!) I just went outside just now and my hen's legs and toes are bright red. I went into panic mode. I have been bringing all of my girls in the house at night, (geese, ducks, hens), because of the weather. I didn't notice anything unusual last night. I just noticed just now, Sunday at 3:15. Anybody have an idea what might be the cause?

Your hen has light colored feet, if you had a hen with darker feet, like EE you would not even be talking about this. I have noticed on a hen with light colored feet, the feet show every thing, think of someone with really white skin that goes out in colder weather, their cheeks get pink.
It is normal red coloring in certain leg colors that shows that they are fertile. Nothing to worry about.
