Don't panic when you see a yellow crust forms, that's just a normal scabbing process that happens during the healing process.

Hello! He's healing up nicely! He has some swelling on his left ear, it's only for the last day and a half. I noticed he was scratching at it more. Should I give him antibiotics? @MysteryChicken

Follow up to whoever stumbled on this post, chick is healing very nicely! I ended up giving him half an aqua mox antibiotic capsule, emptied the powder in a raw yolk for the past four days. The swelling went down and he has a good scab over the wound. He's active and happy, making a mess wherever he goes.

I stopped yesterday. He kept dust bathing so it seemed counter productive.
