Panicking! Seemed like a good idea at the time!

There is an entire thread on here of Little Giant incubator suggestions. Read through it and pick out what seems logical to you. My personal faves: open through the windows only and keep it in a place with no fluctuating room temp and out of drafts.

Oh thank you so much! I hadn't even stumbled on that thread!

If it has a fan that circulates air, set it at about 99.5. If it is still air =101. I've done lots of research and these two temps seem to be the majority opinion. If its a still air, I open mine up and let new air in a couple times a day. Don't have a clue if all the experts do this, but I am newer to hatching eggs in an incubator and just go by what I've read and researched. Good luck!

This is true. I didn't know this until the other day, and I had some off/on hatches before with the still air at 99.5. I also used to have too much humidity at the beginning.

Ok I think. Honestly I have no idea! I am trying to keep everything as regulated as possible and I have become obsessed with going and staring at the thermometers! My husband finally asked if the eggs are doing something that I am watching! Lol. I tried candeling and I can see nothing. They are blue eggs so they are hard to see and I think I need a better light also. I am hoping in a few days I will see something. Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

Dojn't bother candling blue eggs until lockdown if this is your first time. Then good eggs will appear black inside except for the air pocket. Clear ones will sort of glow and be obviously different.
We candled some at 14 days last week but it was 2 of us comparing notes at the same time to make the decision.

So I just couldn't help myself. I candled again and this time I see veins in 6 out of 13 and in two I even saw a little swimmer bouncing around

so I haven't totally ruined them yet. I am going to force myself to leave them alone this week and try not to peek again until Friday. My husband wants to go to the beach this weekend so I am not sure how I am going to handle that situation. That would be days 13-16, so right before lockdown. My parents live next door so I guess I could ask them to come up at least twice a day and just check and make sure that the temps look ok... as long as everythigng is holding steady until then.
