I am so sorry to hear she died...while reading your posts i felt your anguish, i feel so sad. I know how bad it feels when you feel hopeless and not sure what to do. It sounds like you did all you could do considering how fast it all took place.
I lost a little Inka Dove last year and although i think she died of old age, the pain of watching her pass was unbearable....she died in my hands. She brought so much happiness to my life...this lil dove would sit on my shoulder for hours then hop down and eat only to return to my shoulder. I played games with her...she liked to peck at my toes, so id play as if they were the bad guy and she would run and peck at them. When i would come home from work she would light up and even if i was only away for 3 hours. She loved to get in my hair and act as if she were making a nest...it was the funniest thing!!
We found her as a baby who must have fallen out of her nest and hardly any feathers, so she could not fly at all at the time. We nursed her to health and she turned out to be my lil ray of sunshine!

I miss her terribly!...just wanted to share with you....so now my hens have brightened my days....my EE's are so pretty and fun to interact with...as well all of my girls.

Again...i am so sorry for you loss.

This same thing happened to me yesterday morning. Fine the day before and gone within a couple hours of finding her in the morning the next day.
