panting baby chick

my baby chick (3wks) was outside .when i came out she was laying on the ground panting like if she was dying. what was happening? was she dehydrated? please help me.

Usually panting means to hot, did she get overheated?

How was she laying on the ground?
On her side? On her stomach? etc.

i dont know. but i brought her in the house. it was cool in the house so i put her on the floor whitch was cool. she looks like if shes was dying or something. might it be a worrying problem?

Sometimes they will just lay in the sun with a wing stretched out. It is possible she just got too hot especially at that young of an age. Hope she is ok ! Bringing her in should help alot and lots of water!!! Good luck!!
