Panting chicken?

Hi! I have a hen that I have had from when she was a chick, I am pretty sure she is partly blind and with in the last month she has started panting. The other chickens have not done this at all and I'm worried. Is this normal?

Panting is usually a response to some kind of stress. Mine frequently start panting when it gets over 70 degrees (I live in a cool climate). They also start panting if the coop is too crowded when they need to lay an egg. Some of my girls won't lay until the coop is completely empty.
