Panting From Pain / Ever dealt w/serious injuries?

hmm, ok.

Sounds like other than going to a vet there's really no way to find out what's keeping her from being fully recovered...in terms of her body functioning, her crop fills, empties, and she poops pretty well, with normal poops maybe 75% of the time now (rest are a little watery or thin). I'll try giving her more fluids, and im going to try to fit her old feeder in with her to see if she recognizes food better in that vs. the dish it's been in.

Shabana, glad to hear pudding is getting along well with everyone! Feisty has been gone too long, so her only remaining lady friends won't accept her anymore without going through the pecking order first, aka attacking her. No one will send you drugs from here over seas?

It's tricky you can order but most will ask for a prescription once it's going to the uk because of our legislation. If not it can be seized by customs I believe once it lands here.

Poor fiesty little sweetheart has been through such a lot. Hope you get her well. You both have fought so hard - you surely deserve a break.

Getting meds in the UK is harder, but check some tropical fish forums and see how they get theirs.

Ok. My assumption is that worms can be present whether they are visible in the poop or not, yes?

I'll post some lovely poop pics tomorrow.

I didn't get a chance to feed her this morning, only this eve...two days (non consecutive) of only one 40g feeding has seen almost a 4oz drop in weight. Her poo just now was water + white plus very little brown/green substance, like olive colored, not bright green. Abnormal compared to the past two weeks.

I'm reading those chapters in avian medicine, very interesting. Thanks for the link!

thx shabana :) its time consuming but i shouldn't complain, shes the one recovering from an attack, lol. won't lie though, I'm ready for her to be all better and back outside!

Correct, that's why I worm any of mine if they look off, then I can rule out worms as the cause of their illness.

Ok. I just got back from TSC with Wazine. Will administer later today.

I was hoping to digitally document her behavior today, in terms of how she looks when she starts to go for food then loses interest, her limp, etc. but apparently she's scared of my camera.

Here are a couple poop pics. Most are from this morning. The soft but well formed looking poop pic was one of the first real specimens I got after I started tube feeding her. With the past 3 days as an exception I've gotten poops like that one, cecal-like poops, normal dark brown poops, big poops, little poops, and some with some water (no color or substance, just wets her towels).

here a poop, there a poop, everywhere a poop poop!! lol sorry

She weighed 4lb 6.75 oz when I weighed her before feeding around 11pm last night (got home really late). Weighed 4lb 10oz when I fed her this morning around 11:30am.

this one above has some feather casing pieces that landed on it

this one above was stuck to her foot when i picked her up to be weighed

that red drop is a pomegranate kernel I tried to get her to eat

she's had at least two of these in the past hour or two
