I have a buff orpington with a weird issue. During the day she acts completely normally, but at night she roosts and spends the night panting. Her legs also feel hot to the touch and she holds her wings out to disperse heat. Basically, she acts as if it's summer and she's trying to cool off. But it only occurs at night. Her roost usually stays between 65-70 degrees. I have checked her for sour crop/impacted crop and that doesn't appear to be a problem. I have also dewormed her just in case there was a parasite issue. She still has a large appetite and as far as I can tell, her water consumption is okay too. Any thoughts? This has been going on for several weeks now.
