I got 3 ducklings a week ago, as well as 4 new baby chicks. The chicks seem fine. But I have a couple of ducks that look to be panting whenever I go in there to look or am just passing their brooder. I'm making sure that there is plenty of water for them and the light isn't pointed directly down so that it's not too warm. Any ideas on what may be going on?

Our three week olds were doing that a lot last week. You might try moving your lamp a little farther away. Any kind of light raises the temperature more than you would think. We bathtub brood and the heat from the sink lights keeps the whole room warm.

If they are eating, drinking, and pooping normal, I do not think you have a lot to worry about. It is better they are a little warm than cold. @casportpony you have seen this thread and can take over anytime.
You're suggesting everything I would. :thumbsup
