Hi i need to deworm my chickens. I want to use papaya seeds. I know your supposed to make a powder out of them but i wanted to know if raw seeds will still be as effective at deworming my flock??

I would not count on the seeds or powder to be effective at anything other than the vitamins/minerals they contain.
Thank you for your reply!
I cant find dewormer for poultry anywere ive checked all my feed stores and online they only have natural stuff that doesnt work .The only ones i have found is for goats cattle ect. They told me its not supposed to be used for poultry. Any advise would be appreciated What can i use that is safe and effective for my flock?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, goat and cattle dewormers are what I've seen mentioned here. Determining what worm you are targeting is important.

Could you be of help with worming?

Safeguard liquid goat wormer and Valbazen liquid cattle/sheep wormer are very safe wormers for chickens.
I've been using them for a very long time as well as other off label wormers.
Safeguard and Valbazen are broad spectrum wormers and will eliminate all types of poultry roundworms but wont treat tapeworms.
A different wormer containing praziquantel would be needed to treat tapeworms.
Tapeworms are easy to identify in feces, showing rice-like segments in the feces.

Papaya seeds pumpkin seeds and mulberries have long been used for worms long before all these medications existed people had to live animals had to survive otherwise we wouldn't be here today. I'm not sure which king of England used to eat mulberries in the evening and he said then the next morning comes the worms. Google it and you will figure out which king it was but parasites have been around a long time and we've always had to outsmart them I would crush the papaya seeds a little bit they taste like pepper they're safe for humans and animals. One of the problems we have is all these chemical wormers making the worms stronger they become used to it and adapt to it

Pumpkin seeds and probably other seeds need to be crushed in order to release the cucurbitin in order for it to be effective in treating internal parasites. A chicken would have to eat a truckload of crushed pumpkin seeds to deter worms. There is no guarantee they will be worm free, not to mention guessing the quantity that must be eaten in order to be effective. Chemical wormers are the way to go, they are effective and efficient treatments for worms, most are used in humans as well.
Then there is this:

One of the biggest issues we have today is that animals live in concentrated areas where parasites accumulate. Hundreds of years ago this was not the case and natural herbs and things definitely helped reduce the loads of parasites overall but there has never been a parasite free environment created, either by herbs or by chemical dewormers. People think parasites and think they must completely eradicate them, which is not the case.
While parasites are rapidly building resistance to chemical dewormers most of the time it is the mismanagement of people trying to create a parasite "free" environment with chemicals, when in reality fecal tests should be done to target high shedders, which should be dewormed on a monitored schedule with chemicals that target the specific parasite or culled entirely, and deworming should NOT be done on low shedders. Proper property management and pasture rotation should also be taken into consideration in order to keep parasite loads low.
