Papaya seeds

Can I feed the papya seeds to the chickens? I plan on giving them the peelings and the seeds look soft and like something the girls would love-just want to make sure they arent toxic.

Papaya seeds are actually used as a wormer in traditional vet medicine. That said, in large amounts, anything medicinal can be toxic. If you give them seeds, give them a small amt and see if they even bother with them.

Thanks Farmy! I cut up the peel and gave them the peel, some papaya and the seeds (shared between 24 chickens....it was interesting as some like the peel, some liked the seeds, and some the papaya but they were very definate about what theywould and would eat! Usually its a mad rush to inhale whatever "mom" has!
