Paper like substance came out of vent

She didn't lay an egg today :-( She doesn't seem to have a messy vent. It just kind of mystifies us since the other two hens never had this issue. They just started laying perfect eggs and have ever since. Oh well. As long as she is not uncomfortable we are ok with her not laying every day.

My Wyandotte is also the only one that lays those kind of eggs out of eight! I also worry about her health and hope she doesn’t get sick because of this.

A new layer probably is not going to lay an egg everyday. They can skip several days.
Depending on the breed, you may only get a few eggs a week.
