Papertowel during lockdown? Need quick answer

I am on day 25 for my pekins and I noticed that most of you have paper towels under your eggs so I added one under mine before I went on lockdown this morning....but now I am worried that I shouldn't have added it bc it might absorb all the humidity? I don't have a hydrometer, I simply filled one of the legs of the chickubator like the directions told me to. Should I take the papertowel out quickly so the air is more humid since I can't measure humidity? Thanks!
