Parakeet grit for chicks

Just wondering if you can use parakeet grit for chicks and when do you need to give it to them.

Chick starter has everything in it your babies need. If you feed anything other than chick starter they can have some grit just sprinkled on their food the way you would salt your food, just remember to wait until they are a few weeks old before giving treats. Then try a couple of mealworms and watch the chick soccer game start!
