Paralyzed hen?

She is not standing, but she is upright rather than on her side. Her eyes are bright and she is eating.

ETA: She was even "talking" to me a little.

That sounds like a huge improvement. How's the droppings? Still white?

Some white, some green, and all liquid.

Not getting enough food through then, despite having a full crop. Can we rule out a crop impaction? Is her crop emptying overnight?

Yeah, she emptied overnigght, so rule out impaction, and it is not watery/squishy, so not sour either.

I am beginning to wonder if she had a leg injury (Pulled muscle, etc) rather than being ill. When I walked outside today to check on her, she worked her way out of her sling that is keeping her upright and stood up. I went to check her out and she walked right up to me!!!! She is eating and drinking. Her poo is normal color, but her bottom is a mess.

Wow, sounds like an amazing recovery! If not for her age I would have guessed at Marek's with some of those symptoms...hope she continues to get better and that she didn't give you too much of a fright in the meantime!

sounds like poisoning of some kind that she was able to fight and possibly win. Have you given her any treats? Any lawn fertilizer or rat traps any where in yard? Almost like when the grapes gets birds drunk and they act kinda like that.

How about a spider bite or something?
