Paranoia sets in (Temp related)

We brought home our baby chicks today. The brooder temp originally was 93 degrees and they would not stop chirping and were huddled together. So I moved the lamp down a bit, left them alone for awhile, came back to find the temp at 107! The chicks were all quietly asleep and separated from each other, still under the light. I moved the light back up a bit and the temp dropped quickly to 103. The chicks all woke up and started running around eating and drinking happily.

After searching again on the forum about temps, I started to freak out about cooking them to death so I raised up the lamp again bringing the temp to 99 degrees. They all started huddling together and chirping non-stop. I'm starting to get paranoid. Should I listen to the chicks behavior and move the lamp back down a bit so they're happy again or should I leave it and let them adjust (hopefully).

I'm driving myself insane! LOL.

I would listen to the chicks behavior if there happy then they should be fine if you were cooking them they would move away from the bulb to the farthest corner of the box/brooder
