Parasite prevention in chickens

Instead of using term parasite prevention or elimination in free-range chickens, it may be better to think in terms of control. Agree very much with what slingshot relates. I manage in part with worms by making so birds are not constantly over same ground, especially when it is wet. Also, I have a culling procedure with birds not able to carry their load which keeps the more vulnerable genes out of the chicken gene pool. With respect parasites targeting skin and feather, the birds have access to dust bathing sites. Very seldom to I go after heavy mites infections because they are so seldom.
