O.k. Let's see if I can post these.
Name: Marco
Age: Unknown
Type: Blue Front Amazon
Marco is one of my rescues. His former owners were afraid to interact with him. He came to me with bald spots, a previously broken wing and underweight. I have had him for almost a year now and he has filled out and feathered beautifully. He is such a mush pot.
Name: Misha
Age: 7-12 years
Type: Umbrella Cockatoo
Misha is not a true rescue but she needed a new home really fast. I went to the bird store for food for my others and she was there with her previous owners. According to them she was way to loud for their apartment and they either had to get rid of the bird or move from the apartment. I had told my husband earlier that day that I was going to stop by the feed store and pick up a couple of chicks. When I brought her home my husband took one look at her and said "That is a creepy looking chicken!!" So her nick name from then on has been "creepy chicken". I have better pictures of her, just wish my camera dock worked right now.
Name: Calypso
Age: 2-3 years
Type: Quaker (Monk) parrot
Again not one of my true rescues but I was at the parrot show and this little girl was in a cage so small she couldn't even stand up properly. Since Quakers are my all time favorites (alot of parrot in such a small body) I had to ask about her. The lady that had her said that since I was the first one to ask about her I could have her. After buying a $40.00 cage from another vender my new bird and I were on the way home. She squeaks just like a dog chew toy.
Again I wish that my camera dock worked. I have other birds that I would love to show off. These pics. happen to be down loaded before my dock quit working.
