Parrot owner...or parrot OWNED? LOL

Oh my GOD...I would get banned from the board if I wrote what my birds have come out with when company has been over...LOL...they never do it when people aren't around, it's like they know they shouldn't say it!!!!

I would not let your chickies have exposure to the parrots...I've heard they have different fecal bacteria.

Nice to know I'm not the only pet to a pack of parrots.
I tell people that my SO is green and yells at me. lol
Brooklyn is a YN Amazon, couldn't live without her.
I also have a small flock of cockatiels, 1 GW macaw (Molly), 1 B/G macaw (Zazu), 1 Sun Conure (Squeaker - he's my 'teacup macaw'), 1 Quacker (Eddie), and 1 hybrid lovebird (Nigel). The amazon and the lovebird were my only purchases, the rest are rescue/rehomes. I wish people would learn about their pets before they purchas them.
I love the South American jungle in my living room.

Too cute!

I love birds! I've always wanted a moluccan cockatoo-what is yours like? DH knows when we don't have any little ones underfoot that is what he has to look forward to.

We currently have a Quaker, we had a sun conure in the past. My mom got an umbrella cockatoo this past week, he's about 10 years old and in less than 24 hours he learned two new phrases and my sister and brother's names. He shouts out "Watch! Watch me!" and does flips and tricks, and when you clap for him he shakes his wings.

I have trouble making phone calls to businesses and strangers because it sounds like there's a small riot behind me at all times

"Do you have kids, ma'am?"
"No, those are my parrots."

African Greys are the BEST!

I've had mine for 16 years and she cracks us up --- she is, by far, the smartest member of our family -- :)
She 'makes fun' of me on the phone, says, 'Okay, okay, well, bye then' --
the vocabulary of these birds is unbelievable and, like Olli Olli Olli says, we are VERY glad that Trixie doesn't do much talking in front of other people!

GREAT picture of the birdie-on-the-shelf -- and you can tell that it KNOWS how funny it is!
