I have a young Welsummer hen who wants all the perks of being broody and none of the limitations (apparently). She's up all morning, stealing the lion's share of the treats, doing the usual chicken stuff, pecking and scratching, but then later in the afternoon, usually after 3 or 4, she hops back on the nest and gets all growly if I try to get the other hens eggs from under her. Have I got a lazy broody or does she have commitment issues?
