You know those leashes for your children? I always thought that was so cruel like Hello? thats your child not your dog. Im sorry inventor of the child leash it was a brilliant idea and i never shouldve doubted you!

I LOVED my leash for my kids. People said the most vicious things to me when I used it but they had NO Idea how many times the thing saved her life. I would say you walk around with your hand up over your head for ten minutes and see how comfortable you are. The leash allows me to keep ahold of her for her safety and lets her still have her hands free to explore.

Especially when you have a walking toddler and an infant you're pinned in somewhere and the toddler takes off in the other direction. Who do you abandon? Which child do you risk?? One day in a store she bolted away and before I could turn the stroller around to pursue her she had gotten on an elevator! I still have nightmares about that one!!

Let's see after three kids and two of them being only 18 months apart I can say I never used one of those very leashes and I never had to choose to abandon one to go after the other. Children can be secured and taken care of just fine without treating them like animals. It's been done successfully for thousands of years before someone got the idea of leashing children like dogs. I don't know how many times I have seen someone holding that leash oblivious to what the toddler is doing like eating bugs off the ground, pulling stuff out of the planter at the mall, standing in the middle of a busy walkway getting knocked down, stepping in poop, etc.

ok lol this forum isnt about argueing! Its supposed to be funny and entertaining and share stories about the roles of a "part-time parent" yes it is possible to restrain your child but the youngest prefers it so i dont feel bad about it! anyways off the leash subject!

Im currently on my first vacvation since being employed for this family and ive been looking forward to it for so long! But now that im here i have no idea what to do! I miss those boys so much and i keep wondering what their dooing how theeir days been etc. You can tlive with them but I definatly cannot live without them!

You think its rough now...wait til you have your own and you can't have a "vacation" or go home at night. lol. Youre in for a treat. Good you are getting some experiances now.

My mom always told me "There's a reason mother animals eat their young" my mom was a cruel and vicious person lol.

And sweetie, 18 is not the prime of your life. If it was, the rest of life would suck

I don't have kids but I have 4 year old 46 year old. I've found phrases pop out that I had completely forgotten about. My current favourite is after he's said/done something to tease and hurts himself "That's God punishing you!" Ensure you have a very self-satisfied smile while saying it.

I can remember "I'm counting to three! 1...2..." VERY clearly lol

What fun, I remember when my kids were about that age and I took them out for a day, we stopped to eat at "Burger King". My kids were way too old to want a paper burger king crown with their meal-----so I took one and wore it the rest of the day at various shops and malls. My kids were so embarrassed they were quiet the whole time!

Yes 18 is not your prime, but I'm sure it feels like it right now in life..

I"m only in my 30's and it seems like every time I look back.. First my teens, were my best years... How could they not be.. Free to live and experince it all, with fewer responsibilites.. like children, a house, property etc.

Then my 20's came and went.. They were great, meet hubby, had great times. nothing any better.. Bought our first house etc... Think that may be my prime...

Ahh, But now I'm in my 30's with young kids... Love them, could'nt live without them!!! I think when I get to my 40's I will look back on my 30's as prime...

And I really hope and choose to believe that that his how the rest of life should go!!! And I'm taking it and running with it!!

Those boys are lucky to have such a great person rake care of them!!
