Partially Blind Chick needs a special home

It's about a year later, and Hunter is doing well. He has his own run and coop. He stays there most of the time, but I take him out to free range a couple hours a day with my others. This is pampered little Hunter now. :) He's as big as my Blue Jersey giant rooster.

That's a wonderful happy ending! Hunter is a beautiful rooster! And very lucky to have found you! I too have a special place in my heart for the misfits. I have a 2 yr old scissor beak EE (all of her food goes in the Cuisinart!), a hen with a crooked leg, and most recently a baby Aussie that the broody mama attacked and tossed out of the nest to die. He/she had a gouge on his back and a prolapsed vent (James Herriot was right..sugar makes it recede). He/she is doing great now though!
