Partridge or gold laced?

Hi there,

I have a 6 week old cockerel, of the large Cochin breed. Can someone help identify what colour it is please? I thought it was partridge but someone said it looked like it had markings of a golden laced.

Help?

Neither, he actually looks closer to spangled but that is due to heterozygosity of a few genes

Oops, just realized I put an exclamation point instead of a question mark on my previous post.


Assuming that you have different colored hens and roosters, his coloring is most likely mixed.

Lol! Yes a mix of different colour chickens ranging free. Thank you for your input!
