I have a rooster and I'm pretty sure a same breed hen. I cannot decide if they are Welsummers or Partridge Plymouth Rocks. I am leaning more toward the rock. No clue how old they are, the person we got the bunch from didn't know much. They were an inherited flock.

Hen really doesn't look like a welsummer to me or a partridge rock. How do you know that they're the same breed?
I don't :) I saw a potential pattern with the original owner so I assumed every rooster had a hen pair. She looked like photos I saw of Welsummer/Partridge rock. But I am a newbie
Agreed. The rooster is the only one that resembles either of the two breeds mentioned. The hen doesn't.
Thank you! At least I know what the rooster is!

Looks like Welsummers to me....
Yes! Those are pics that I've seen! The roosters look like twins :D Glad to see I'm not totally lost with this chicken thing ;) The hen is not the same though, Caramel (my hen) doesn't have stenciled (I think it's called) on her back like yours. But now back to square one, is Partridge (my rooster) a Rock or Welsummer 😅
