Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

From the shows I've seen, I can tell you alot of people don't exactly hold the best Partridge up in the NE-or at least they don't attend. One 'Partridge' can look totally different from another. I've seen some birds of other colors DQed for interesting reasons but Parts are never touched. Let me tell you, sometimes seeing who got BV and RV can be a sight.

I'm not really sure, but I would imagine a washed out partridge or buff with too much black. Just a guess though. We would need the imput of Sonoran Silkies to figure it out.

You got it. Insufficient penciling on a too light bird for partridge, or a buff with a lot of smutty undercolour and black on wings and tail.

i havent been able to find buffs silkies in my area to breed in to my nice buff showgirls thought maybe i try partridge once and then breed back to good buff good or bad idea

It's awesome that Sonoran stepped in, I was really out of my comfort zone attempting anything about mixing colors. And I'm glad that we have put it straight. There aren't any other varieties of partridge except blue which has to be shown as AOV. Right Suze? But there is only 1 partridge. Thank you. This is the reason that I started this thread. Questions and answers.

I know of a couple of breeders in Wisconsin that have buff. It would be cheaper than shipping.

Actually, Frenchtoast, a member is 1 of them. She lives in Crandon, WI and the link below is the other.

She's adorable. I personally don't like the nacked necks, but they are cuter than SH*&. They take the cutest pictures (when you can get them to stand still
