Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

I am told "Slim Shady" is a partridge, though I associate partridges with being more brown/chestnut colored than red based.

but "Shady" is a beautiful cockeral. I hate that I have to re-home him

Spartacus is out of Karen Larson's line (Cat Dance Silkies); he has fathered some beautiful chicks for me this year---even a couple of "Juniors"...lol

I know Suze (Sonoran Silkies) raises Partridges....and my gosh--the knowledge she has about genetics!!! maybe we WILL get lucky and she'll join in.

Really bad storms here this AM so I haven't been able to upload more pics yet

I would give a left arm to have a broody hen - but since I only have 2 hens that have produced all of these beautiful babies - maybe not. I keep hearing about how broody Silkies are and haven't been able to get 1 to set yet. I'd like to be able to turn off the old bator since it's about ready to fall to pieces on me. I'm tired of being the broody one!!! Anybody got a broody Silkie that they would want to part with?

So, we have the "partridge" that is to standard according to the book. Where did the "blue" come from? What other sub - varieties of "partridge" are there" I've heard someone call the "standard" partridge bronze. Are there any more?

I had a lady refer to some of her partridge as "bright" and "bronze". So what's with all of these different categories? Is there someone that can explain all of this for me? I hadn't heard of blue until this year. I know that I am very new to the Silkie business so I would like to learn as much as I can.
Thanks everyone.

Yes polish thats what the standard States but I was not able to find a PERFECt mail so IM line breeding right now to try to find a Bird with good type and a nice black chest
