Yep, all bathed and no mites (well one girl had about 3 so she got extra treatment)

they absolutely STUNK so we had to have bath time. They are doing really well and LOVE their watermelon

They are in quarantine for another 3 weeks so my DH built them a temporary run that they get to use during the day while I am at work. I use a small dog carrier to ferry them between the house and the pen and last night I was waiting (ever so patiently) for them to load themselves in the carrier so I decided to sit on the carrier while I waited. The little cuties all decided to come and "wait with me" so they proceeded to hop up ON the carrier and start roosting. It was so sweet

thanks everyone!!

Heck yeah I do! They were replacements for the 3 silkie roos we had to rehome
hit.gif
and I was a bit perterbed with DH since he wanted to replace the ONE roo that was his, so we have to go and get THREE more. But they are so small they really just count as one
big_smile.png
I really hope they fit in with the other girls when it comes time. I am also happy for my Lola who was the sole remaining Silkie as the other two roos that were rehomed were her brothers

Now she will have someone to cuddle up with at night since she isn't a big roost-lover and sleeps on the floor.

I want to thank everyone for keeping this little thread going in the heart of which it was meant to be. A friendly learning place for all of us that love our partridge Silkies. It's absolutely wonderful that when it seems to fall off for a few days someone comes along and re-ignites it and we're all back again and wanting to help someone or just admire their babies and share in their happiness or their sorrow. Does that sound stupid? I don't think so. I think this is a wonderful little group. Thanks everyone.

I agree completely!! I was so happy to get responses about my girls

I tend to ask questions in other threads and get...nothing

So THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Oh goodness!!! They won't know what to do with all of that room. Have you noticed that when they first got out and felt the space that they laid down and stretched out? Mine do that when I let them out on the lawn. It looks like I have a bunch of dead birds. My dogs have a duck toy that looks just like that so I sometimes have to check to make sure what it is.
