Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Actually I never ended up listing them lol! I was still trying to decide what I was going to do. Just yesterday did I "sort of" commit to the change lol! I may have a few chicks as well.. not sure just what is gong to hatch in one hatch.. didnt mark the eggs. They are either white or partridge ( well there are some of each im sure)just didnt mark what pen i got them out of. I havent priced the pair yet, there might be a rooster and 2 hens but one of the hens is sort of one of my buddies lol! havent decided if Im letting her go yet... .. Need to figure that out... the boys will surely be reasonable as well as chicks.

How is the adoption going ??? How exciting for you!!!

I am going to concentrate on my Blacks and have some Splash as well I want to breed. I dont have tons of space so have to make hard choices sometimes.
I really hope we can work something out. I would love one of your partridges cockerels and maybe the chicks.

We are thinking about driving to AZ this weekend because we want to visit family and see the little guy again. We could get the OK anytime. I guess we're waiting on the typical beaurocracy (paper trail) of governent offices. Here's a picture of my bio-son and our soon to be little boy.

Black and Splash are both great colors. And, don't you need nice blacks to keep the splash colors crisp? I have a small BBS pen that I'll expand later this month too. I get my hatching eggs from Mary Robbins in Georgia. She also has gorgeous white silkies covered by a Bobbi Porto roo. I had 2 hatch, one pullet which I kept and the cockerel I gave away to someone on the NCal thread.

I changed it to open.. didnt know it had been set to closed. There isnt a lot going on there yet but hopefully it will pick up as we get more members. I wasnt sure what name to use to add you there ..
I just tried to join again so it might be waiting for your approval. I see one of my favorite BYC friends (Peepsblessed) is a member.

Well, I really ought to get off the computer and get to work. My plans for today include replacing one coop roof, building 2 rain/shade shelters and re-doing 2 gate doors into silkie pens.

Quote: If you are going to get out of the Partridges I really want to get some of your birds - the trio if possible (mine are my pets too so I would understand if you had to keep your hen) - I LOVE your colors! Let me know what you decide if CALI CHICK doesn't want them - I think you have the best looking colors I have seen - more like the reds that Partridge is described as having than the gold that most actually have.

The pictures of your birds are the reason I fell in love with the color. That rooster is really really really beautiful.

I drooled over your young boys, but I don't have any bearded Partridge girls to go with them, so I told myself no. If I can get your set I would keep them together and you could always get some hatching eggs back from me if you ever change your mind...

ChickNmamma, I'm really hoping to get one of Feathersprings' young cockerels and maybe some of the chicks (or hatching eggs) to "build up" my partridge pen. That would be perfect if you were able to buy Feathersprings adult pair (or trio). It isn't that I don't want them as they are just perfect

it's more that I prefer adding younger birds to my flock.
