Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Excellent. I'm sort of obsessed with silkies and polish at the moment. Of course the silkies are the hardest to sex. But I think the patridge chicks are the cutest of the bunch of them.

I love the partridge chicks - and I love the adults too!

I love them for their fluff, and for their sweetness, and for their sillies.. At least when you get boys they are usually very NICE boys!

Awwwwwww... too cute!

Well - I did it - I went over and got Jasper and Minky from Feathersprings! I now officially have a Partridge Silkie Pair!

She was also nice enough to give me some eggs to set under my broody hen so I can hatch a few more girls for Jasper

Now to wait for the babies

I am pretty sure they did not enjoy the trip - it was very long and there were a lot of corners. Jasper was making comments when I hit a particularly curvy corner - so I talked to them all the way home. When I got home Jasper was hiding his head under Minky. However - he came out when I showed him the food.. so funny!

I just love his coloring - and Minky's is darker than Lilly's and has the "red" that they always put in Partridge descriptions - but I seldom see it on the birds. I think the pictures Feathersprings put up earlier show Jasper - but the girl is not Minky - that's Lilly the pet who stayed with mommy because Lilly "gave her the look" when Lilly was getting her bath - like "why don't you love me anymore"... so mommy couldn't let her go. I understand completely - and I am happy with Jasper and Minky and 8 eggs from Lilly and Minky to put under Minnie the Blue Silky broody.

When they stop looking bedraggled and frazzled I will glam them up and let them have some time "under lights" - for the camera/action part, and share it here!
