Congrats. Yes they are partridge , once they fluff up their chipmunk stripes will be more obvious .

Thanks! I think the partridge colouring is so beautiful. These came from eggs I got from another breeder as I've only had white Silkies up until now. In fact, it was my white Silkie that hatched these out - she's such a good little mother.

Your babies are precious!

My two that hatched out yesterday are all dry and fluffed up now.
I've noticed that one is a bit darker than the other, so now I'm curious to see how they'll look when mature.

Aww. They are so cute when they are little aren't they! Little chipmunks. I'm curious about the colors also. I have some very gray muted chicks and some with very striking colors. Lets keep track of them and see what we get! Maybe we will be able to tell for future reference what color partridges we will have. :) FancychookLady may be able to tell us if there are differences in chick color as far as adult colors go. She has partridges.

The chipmunk stripes just indicate the base colour. My advice is to keep a picture diary of each and once you've been breeding that line for a while , you are able to predict the outcome. My roo is red partridge so most of mine have a tinge of red in them. I did however get a jet black pullet from this years batch and looks like another black hatched yesterday. I also got a really red with mahogany on it's back . That's a first for this parentage. I will get some pics when the sun comes up.

What lovely pictures of mum and all her beautiful chicks. Mine are 13 weeks now and look all grown up. Wish I had some little ones to play with too ))

Thanks for sharing.
