One copy of lavender would have no effect on the black pigment. Two copies of lavender would dilute both black and red pigment and create a lavendar partridge. Pretty, but not at all the same thing.
I am not doubting your word on this at all but when I talked to George M over the phone he told me to make a true blue partridge

I've always heard to get blue partridge - lavander has nothing to do with it. I've gotten blue partridges out of blue/recessive partridge X partridge - actuall i've gotten 2 nice black partridge, 1 nice blue partridge and a few 'off' colored ones.
from my understanding like Sonoran said, lavander would either not dilute at all, or if 2 copies would dilute black and red...I've seen a 'lavander' partridge - very pretty but super pale and barely any penciling 'partridge' pattern that you can see with the naked eye. Pretty, but I called it a "blue ghost" partridge since thats what it reminded me of
So i really don't see how lavander is in the make up of blue partridge.

As both the Blue and the Lavender are completely different genes....you want a blue partridge....not a lavender partridge right?
