Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Pennie...this beak thing is appearing now about 3 mos later....i trimmed it up as it was long so maybe it was pushing the beak out of alignment...i think it is a girl and she is so cute so I hope it will just be a minor issue....i know what you mean about culling the ones with the problems i need to toughen up but i also have an 11 year old chicken lover who wants to be a poultry vet so he believes in trying to fix them up...sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.....cant wait to see all your gorgeous birds and of course meet the twins...i also cant wait to show off our 3 boys i cant decide which one i like best they are super fluffy and huge foot feathers...we better put them in the open with yours so we can have a good comparable for the judges....mine are all Catdance bred....you need a Sportsman incubator they are fairly idiot proof which is good for me...lol...when you enter partridges at shows they just go in the variety as partridge you dont specialize between blue or black do you?????....you need to show lots of birds we have been doing 20 all along and now i think it will be 30 or 40 as we have two other breeds we do...good thing i like chicken shows....Chris

To be quite honest, I think that blue partridge is separate from the regular partridge. I don't know. You have shown before. This will be my first time. I am a chicken virgin!!!

). I have the 5 girls and 7 boys. Everybody else is too young unfortunately. Of course then I will bring the younger birds that I am selling. I wish someone could see these little beauties. The little girls are prettier than the 1st. hatch. They are perfect little partridge pullets in miniature.

I'm pretty sure the last one is a little boy.

Oh Pennie the babies are beautiful...I may have to buy another one at the show....okay I have a regular colored partridge but i think my other pullet might be blue as her crest is blue...hmm I am a partridge newbie hope I dont mess up and label them incorrectly....the other colors are much easier...white, black etc.....I do have a pearl cockerel he is such a smoky silvery color and i have a white who now has 3 small black patches on him....and porcelains so if they hold together I will have a couple of AOVs for the Chicken Baron to show..

...You just wait wont be long till you are carting 70 birds around...my friend her son shows and their mini van has birds stashed everywhere...silkies, ducks,,polish its incredible how many she can stash in that van....lol...and if you had Ameraucanas you could enter the egg class so I guess we will have 12 in vitreo chickens..hmmm...i will be building a bunch more crates for them all thats for sure and if i need to i have a 3 horse trailer to pack lots of birds in....really rather not but i know others who do....too much washing....besides im a chicken show virgin too as the young man does that stuff...im just his assistant and truck driver and chicken groom...Chris

I never really wanted to show at all, but people just don't know who I am or what kind of birds that I have. Soooo, hence forth I am forced to attend a couple of shows. That's why I am going to make them big shows and get it over with.

Bat Cave I am not sure about adding the selenium E as she is already using red cell that might be too much selenium.
