It's just so dang hot out!! I went out to check on the birds and give them some cold apples for a treat.
I have fans running like crazy ect but I just feel so sorry for them!! I am worried sick!
Not possible but if I could bring them all in the house so they could enjoy the AC I would!

It was over 100 for 3 days in a row with 88% humidity... Talk about feel sorry for everyone? I almost brought them into the basement but changed my mind. I had everyone outside in the deep shade of the trees. It would take me like 2 hours to move everyone out and 2 hrs. to get everyone back in. Talk about a pain in the but. I was giving them watermelon and yogurt and canteloupe and change their water every 2 hours. I even took a bucket of just barely cool water and wet everyones chest and legs. I stuck my own head under the hose!!! From what I understand, all of the weather that we have been having is moving east... Lucky, lucky you

We are having it here too. It is horrible!!! I have been hosing the pens down every couple of hours but my coop is in the barn and can't hose that down. I feel sorry for the broodies in the coop but it is cooler in the barn but it is still hot! It wouldn't be good to dunk a broody in water to cool down would it?

SEveral of them have eggs they are laying on. I am freezing some cantelope now. I gave them frozen apples earlier.

Oh Cammy you no they would never make it back to her and you would claim that they must have got lost in the mail lol....
