Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

I love the last picture!!! As I am looking at it, my DH is sitting here with me and says "for anybody that doesn't raise Silkies, they wouldn't have a clue of what it is. Very limited market for that picture..." I just had to laugh.....

I love that fluffy butt pic! They should make a calendar of nothing but fuzzy and fluffy butts. You know you're a chicken lover when, your calendar is all chicken butts!

Congrats again Pennie! No ribbons?? That kind of stinks. Five buck award equates to almost a half a bag of feed though

Not my feed!!! I wish... I have considered eating the chicken feed. It's probably a lot healthier than the junk I eat.

Yeah, you are right there! I must've digressed to last year! The Game Bird feed alone, has jumped up $7.00/bag in the last several months! BOSS went from $15.00/50# to $39.00/50#! Fish meal = $66.00/50#! I'd really hate to be feeding large livestock these days, chickens and dogs are bad enough!

I'm in for lower prices!

I wish my Gamebird was that cheap. It's $15 per 50 lbs. Then you add the oats, barley, safflower, sunflower, flax seed, wheat germ oil and red cell the price goes up dramatically. Then you get yogurt, vegie's and fruit and they eat far better than we do. But it's all worth it for that $5!!!! But don't get me wrong, it was a lot of fun. I loved it. Met some awesome people and got to see my grandkids. Put about 900 miles on the car this weekend. Glad I get about 30 miles a gallon!!!

Just because you all are talking feed prices, just curious what anyone else is paying for Purina FlockRaiser. It went from 12.50 a year ago to 18.50 currently.
