Get ready, I heard on the news this morning that dog food is going way up due to wheat and corn....so I suppose chicken feed will go higher!

I am not fond of Purina, so don't use it. I predominantly use a variety of Manna Pro feeds. To some extent I select based upon price, but I also consider the ingredients and protein content. Last week chick starter was sufficiently lower in cost that everyone is currently eating it. Usually I use chick starter, turkey/gamebird starter and waterfowl feed.

Well, I can see right now, if I want to take some candid shots of these guys, I'll need a faster camera! Perpetual motion here. I did manage to get this shot of two of the boys?. Frankie and Kramer, at 10 1/2 weeks. A Red Tail hawk was flying overhead, so I guess the butt to butt pose was their defensive stance, or chicken panic mode!

Not to worry, they are in a totally enclosed run. Mr. Hawk will have to go elsewhere for a Silkie meal. Anyway, I thought it was a cute pic.
