Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

With PQ you can sometimes tell right away--wrong number of toes, wrong comb, wrong skin colour, etc. Determining show worthiness can take many months.

Can they start w a small crest I have to the same age and the crest is huge on one and she having trouble seeing the other one has like not thing.

Yes; crest size doesn't always show up early--sometimes yes, sometimes no.

That young cockerel shows some promise if his back, wings and chest darken up. The head is supposed to be a chestnut color which his may be a little light, but not too bad.
The pullet is actually a little dark. Her head is supposed to be a rich chestnut. They neck is supposed to be a lemon gold. I will post pictures again of my two ladies that have gone RES.CH.FL in the shows that they have attended. They have been called "exactly to standard" by several judges and the owner of PP.

Wow Pennie! Your girls are stunning! I'm so excited to see what my boy will produce when crossed with Blue girls. Right now he has two Lavender girls. What can I expect from that pairing?

Nope, in the bottom one the sun was just kind of glistening off of her. I had just given them a bath with this shampoo that makes them SHINE... But you get the general idea. They are not dark headed. It's just a real chestnut brown.
And thanks. I don't know why I wasn't getting updates for a while....But it seems to be fixed.
It was nice that Chris showed us a picture from CR of one of the birds that I raised, as a winner!!! Thanks Chris. As you all know, I was supposed to attend and then couldn't at the last minute and it's so nice to know that one of the young ladies that I raised and sold was able to give my little farm, Urban's Showboat Silkies, a good showing....

Well, I have heard that lavender will give you blue partridge. Good luck!!! I hope to do a little experimenting with some blue partridge breeding this winter.

Good to hear, Blue Partridge would be super! The girls have not yet begun to lay, but when they do I will be sure to share pics of the chicks from them...
