Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

heres my partridge chick!

OMG, that little chickie is too cute! I have a little (what I thought was) partridge chickie that is almost 2 weeks old.....he has no stripes though. I have him as my current avatar. My 14 yo daughter named him/her 'Peepers R. Fluffybutt' Can a partridge chick have no stripes? He's got brown head, greyish brown body, beigy brown wings, and what looks like a light blue rear end.....Can someone let me know if they have had any similarly colored that grew up to be partridge?
Great luck with your sweet little chicky!

thank you :) i got him today! i cant think of any names though.... any ideas?
He/She is adorable!

Love the clear markings. We had a chick with similar stripes and we named him, Chipper!

These babies are all from pure Blue/Black/Splash pens.....but look at the little guy in the front, right side of the photo!

Hmmm, wonder if it will grow up to have partridge coloring or if it'll turn grey? We'll see.

I see blues and splashes, you got a ncie variety. The partridge is not too surprising I know many flocks of BBS who throw partridge colored chicks. a FEW feather out partridge, most feather out blue, and they usually seem to be boys in my experience (4 of 4 I had turned out boys)

Here's my 25 week old partiridge silkie rooster, Davy (FKA Daisy). I trimmed his topknot because he couldn't see and was getting picked on by the older roosters.

Here he is in the brooder after hatching with his Lavender Orpington buddies and the black splash silkie Rokk who died.

How old is this one at the feeder?

I agree. I have a dark Blue roo with gold leakage (autosomal red?) in the hackles. He was born a very cleanly marked Partridge! Another from the same hatch ended up looking like Davey in the above pic, again, very cleanly marked Partridge at hatch.

I now have a chick that was hatched from my Splash pullet (I watched her lay the egg and marked it!), and I would bet it was sired by the Blue roo with the leakage. While this chick does have the chipmunk striping, it's base color is a very silvery color. Any chance this will be a Splash Partridge?

not a pure silkie, i can't tell if the feathers are coming in silkied or straight "regular" - but i'm quite sure its not 100% silkie. Looks like it will be partridge patterned though.

Thanks! It's feathers are coming in really fast it seems. I can't wait to see if it's going to be a hen.
