Here are 2 more pictures. I will say the chickens are nasty dirty and stiiiink! They are getting a bath the next time we have a few pretty days in a row. She had them in a poop bottom barn (you know the floor is packed poo).... They didn't want to walk on the grass the first day. I do think they are nice and round like my cochins. Her legs are yellow, but more of a pale yellow. Regardless my daughter loves them and I hope will do ok at fairs with them. Thanks again for any feedback!

Never ask a question if you're not sure you want to hear the answer.
They will do fine in a Fair show.

I appreciate the answers. The only open show we have attended had red combed silkies with yellow skin.... So yeah. Not the best to judge any chickens. But I know silkies don't have single red combs.

it would be nice to see them once they fill in some... the male in the feathered state he is in is hard to tell about his overall shape. the female has nice penciling around her front half but then looses it near the back end... I think they would be a good starting point at least. There is something i really like about the hens head, cant quite put my fingers on it but its there, but i don't like her tail, a puff just thrown on her behind... the male however has a nice transition, so that could be corrected in offspring. see what she can hatch and cull hard. they look to have promise for a starting pair.

Things I like about rooster. Short, thick legs (mine are too thin for me), Not sure what I think about the tail. Looks a little pinched but could be from picture but doesn't have the distinctive bunny tail like some I've seen and owned.

Again, would love to see them next spring.

Thanks! I will try to update with pics. Both seem a little thin to me and their nails were horrible. They actually scratched around in the yard today for the first time. We will see where some love gets us! She gave us about 8 fertile eggs that are their siblings. They are going in a friends incubator tomorrow. I appreciate the feedback!

If you ever decide to get serious about the Partridge Wyandottes and showing contact me, James DeWitt lives in Kentucky and has very nice Partridge....which he should since he has been breeding them for 30 years..
