last summer, we raised about 20 meaties in an 8 X 10 tractor. It was enough room as long as we moved it daily in the last few weeks.
One note:
TONS OF POOP ON THE GRASS
so even though we have a large (1/2 acre) back yard (if only big for a city), we decided that when we do meaties again, we'll only do about 10 max due to the poop load.
Also, it might be good to check with your local city ordinances about if it's legal for you to slaughter on site or if you will need to take them out of the city for slaughter. Some cities require a licensed aviary vet to oversee any culling / processing operations.
