None of mine ever had pasty butt, but a couple of times poop did stick to their fluff near the vent. I just take them to the bathroom sink and rub the area with a warm wet q-tip until it comes loose, then comb the fluff with a spare little electric razor brush then dry with a small air blower to fluff it back up.
Similar, has anyone had issues with pasty toes? That's the most of what I deal with. I think it's the mash feed mixing with their feces to form like a hard cement when it dries. It's not so bad now that I use less of the mash and more of the crumbles.
