Pasty bum

I had a couple Dark Cornish babies with pasty butt. After finally getting it off and applying some vaseline I gave them some probiotics and electrolytes in their water then gave them vinegar water and I have been mixing oat bran in their starter. So far that has cleared it up.

That's good! It's so gross when you have to pick it off with your hands

Dang it, I spoke too soon! Just had to clean them again! Yep it is gross. I hope this problem clears up soon. I sure am glad I don't have to spend all day cleaning chicken butts. I have four Dark Cornish and two Speckled Sussex I bought at the same time and for some reason it is just the Dark Cornish. Any suggestions from anybody would be greatly appreciated. I thought I had done everything suggested. These poor chicks are going to hate me! lol

I'm thinking seriously about shaving their little butts. Then the poop won't have the fuzz to hang on to and dry hard as a rock. Has anybody tried that?
