Thank you! and yea maybe I was not giving enough electrolytes. or maybe I just found it too late. either way, I now know I have to check bottoms so I did learn something from all of this.

And maybe mother nature decided that it was better for the chick not to grow up…
Sorry for your loss! But sometimes they just don't make it for reasons we will never understand. The pasty butt might have been only a symptom for another, more severe issue. You did what you could and the little one was feeling better and comforted. Good job!
