Can Pasty butt be breed specific sometimes?
Wednesday I got twenty chicks of five different breeds--four of each. One little Sussex didn't make it, but the rest have been fine.
But only the Delawares have pasty butt, three of the four! The others (Sussex, Oprs, Lorps, and Rocks) have no problems.
I just cleaned up the little Delawares. They poo just fine, their vents are fine, and they seem vigorous and healthy.
Just wondering why the Delawares had it and none of the other four breeds.
