I have 19 chick I got a week ago. I noticed one has what I looked up to be pasty butt. I washed and cleared it up but I'm still worried it will return. I seen where adding cornmeal to their feed helps prevent it from returning. I also seen yogurt helps any advice.

What age are the chicks?

What is the temp of your brooder?

What do you feed them?

For me my chicks butt cleared up after I started paying more attention to his water. He's very particular and if even a wood shaving gets in it he won't drink as much and it affects his poop. Perhaps watch the chicks for awhile, make sure they're drinking enough water. I would think corn meal would make it worse, but PLAIN yogurt might help. My issues with it have normally been them not drinking enough water.

Wash its butt and use a Q-Tip to apply Vaseline to its butt..
No need for adding anything to the diet..
