I've had pasty butt in shipped chicks before and have taken care of it with no trouble but I think this is different. Last Friday I hatched 8 JG's and 6 Delaware's. The Dels came from Texas via E-Bay. Ever since the Dels hatched they have had trouble going to the bathroom and the droppings stick to there fuzz. The JG's that are from my stock have had no trouble. Anybody have any ideas. They were all hatched at the same time.

I assume they were hatched together in the same incubator and are in the same brooder with the same heat, space, grit, and feed.

I've always thought that tendencies to certain conditions are inherited. I don't think I'd hatch any chicks from that particular line. Or if you could mark which chicks get it and don't hatch from them?

You might also contact the person you got the eggs from to see if they have that problem. A good breeder would want to know about something like that if it is in their flock.

Yes every thing is the same for both breeds. I will contact the breeder. All the hatched Dels have the same problem and from the same breeder. If they don't get better soon I won't keep any of them Thanks
