pasty butt

I raise baby chicks. I usually have a chick with pasty butt once on a while ....but in the last several weeks a lot of my chicks keep getting it and even several dying. Any thoughts out there? ?

I've only had one chick with this and I had to clean the poo off of her often. I heard something once about using apple cider vinegar in their water? I'm hoping someone else has insight. Good luck!

yes ACV and yougart....I try to pull it off dry do a little of the down comes with it and then it doesn't stick as much with a little veggy oil to..jeff

I do that and have a lot of bald butt chicks! ..lol.
