Patient Restraining Advice

Maybe restrain is a strong word but I have a little day old that I need to tape up his middle toe tonight to straighten it out... Any tips on how to restrain it while I play doctor? I was thinking maybe lie it on it's back in my lap and work like so. I do not have an extra set of hands and will be doing this myself. Tips?

swaddle in a towel like you would a baby, tuck head under your arm toward your back and hold like you are carrying a football.

Oh boy, I just did this yesterday and it was not easy! My son held the chick for me and I kept messing up the band-aid, urgh. Good luck. I think swaddling it in an ace-bandage (not too tight of course!) or maybe a sock with a hole in it for the leg to stick out! Let us know how it went!
