Hi my name is Perri and I live in Burnley, England. My grandma raised chickens and so i have always loved them and now finally got some of my own. One cockerel (which my husband named Spock!) who is a Partridge welsummer and extremely handsome, two girls, Patti, a Black rock and Nellie (named after my grandma) a Speckledy. We only had them a month and were told that hybrids don't go broody but, lo and behold, and to our extreme joy, Patti has had two chicks successfully and two more which she rejected (one stuck in its shell and one thrown out of the nest) which are now indoors in a brooder. As its so new to me I am so worried that I'll do something wrong for the little ones and could do with what help I can get, plus, I am boring everyone at work by my chicken talk that I thought I'd better seek out some people who love chickens as much as i do!
